ALL NEW MARVEL NOW! Comic Book Review: Original Sin #0 Who Is The Watcher?

Original Sin

When I first heard about this comic coming out, I immediately went to JM and demanded to give me this issue for review. It wasn’t even on our agenda for the week. That’s how bad I wanted it ! And trust me I was not disappointed at all!

Original Sin is the definition of what story telling really is. You follow a young Sam Alexander (aka NOVA) opening by speaking to his drunken dead beat father listen to his stories of pride of his glory days. After a few panels you get a real scene of the lads innocence. Even though he carries so much responsibility on his back he still has that inquisitive nature knowing the Watcher can never intervene; but still, he remains relentless in his quest of knowledge.

Later you get really peek into the Watchers world; which isn’t really something that hasn’t really been explored. Accompanied by mind blowing visuals of everything Uatu has ever seen and is ever going to see is an array of alternative time lines and paradoxes. If you’re an “80’s baby” like me, every dream you had just came true reading about time! But above all else the story writes so well it just keeps you yearning for more!

In my eyes, this comic is a perfect representation of why THE ALL NEW MARVEL Now! Has such a strong line of comics coming out. They stick to a well thought out format of how to tell a story, while keeping it so close to the father of comics Stan Lee’s vision , The Marvel Method; every comic is someone’s first comic. So, if you’re a lover of space dramas, twist-n-turns, and parallel universes this title is for you! That’s why this week im smashing out a first time 10/10 for this comic. Don’t just take my word for it! Go check it out yourself! Let me know what you think you can reach me on Instagram, Tweet me, or even drop me line on the MetalGeeks FB page!

Image Comics Supreme: Blue Rose #1 Blooms This July

SUPREME BLUE ROSE #1

You are not dreaming.
We are trying to communicate with you.
Local reality has been reinstalled.
Things have gone wrong.
The revision has corrupted.
Finding Ethan Crane is your supreme priority.
We are speaking to you from the ultimate bunker within the structure of multiversal time.
Do not trust Darius Dax.
We are all going to die.

Warren Ellis (TREES, Planetary) teams up with Tula Lotay (ELEPHANTMEN, The Witching Hour) to re-introduce the central Image Comics character in SUPREME: BLUE ROSE, coming this July from Image Comics.

“One day I woke up with an idea, that came out of nowhere, for how to extend this most strange and storied of ‘analogue’ properties into a new space. A new floor on top of Alan Moore and Rob Liefeld’s house,” said Ellis. “And, since I had some time on my hands that year, I emailed Image, and we got my friend Tula Lotay involved—and her work will be a revelation to people.”

SUPREME: BLUE ROSE #1 arrives in stores on 7/23, and will be available for $2.99. It can be pre-ordered with Diamond Code MAY140571.

The Walking Dead To Celebrate 10 Years With A Midnight Release Party!?!

I don’t know about you Geekazoids but this sounds pretty cool to me. Keep in mind, not all Brick and Mortar shops will be doing this but YOU can make it happen. Instructions on how to, see below!

All Out War breaks out on October 9, 2013 with the release of THE WALKING DEAD #115, part of the celebration of 10 years of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s epic comic book series. Image Comics will be kicking off the celebration the night before, alongside retailers across the United States & Canada, with THE WALKING DEAD MIDNIGHT RELEASE PARTIES!

For this special event, THE WALKING DEAD will be available for purchase in advance, at midnight on the night before release, October 9, 2013. THE WALKING DEAD #115 is the first issue of the monster event ALL OUT WAR, which will pit Rick Grimes and his group of Survivors in a fight for their lives against the other factions in THE WALKING DEAD universe: The Saviors, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom.

Comic book retailers will be able to sign up to host a midnight release party for THE WALKING DEAD #115 and in the process get exclusive giveaways and promotional items for the party, as well as the opportunity to order a special variant cover of THE WALKING DEAD #115, with brand new art from Charlie Adlard, available only to participating retailers.

Fans who would like to attend a WALKING DEAD MIDNIGHT RELEASE PARTY should inquire with their local comic book retailers and ask them to participate. Comic book retailers in the US and Canada interested in hosting a midnight release party should opt-in with Diamond Code JUL138242 by September 6th, 2013. THOR: God of Thunder Preview #1

First things first. Prior to making it onto the big screen, I was never a fan of THOR. For me, he had always been cheesy and down right lame. I always felt; oh damn it…this guy is chasing me from the interest of this story, HULK SMASH!  That was then…this is (Marvel)NOW!

In just four pages this preview has me wanting more. Why? See the last page of this preview.  \m/[>.<]\m/
